August-October is the time my hitters dedicate to trying new things, which helps determine what works and what doesn’t. JaKari Wade is a L.E.A.D. Ambassador and senior at South Atlanta High School. As one of his coaches, I want him to be focused this fall.
So here are two questions (and his answers) I recently asked him about his commitment and success.
What’s one new thing you’re committed to working on as a hitter this fall?
I am committed to my approach and making sure I have a balanced stance.
How do you know if you’re having success working on that one thing in your games?
I know I’m having success when I’m repeatedly doing drills and making the adjustments if/when I’m failing.
