The fall is the best time to try new things that can help find what doesn’t work and what does work. When you can build habits and strength based on what works, a productive fall leads to a productive winter.
I asked one of my colleagues, Desmond Stegall, to share one of his favorite hitting drills and I want you to give it a try this fall.
Remember, there are seven parts of the swing and that it takes 3,000 reps per part to build a habit. That’s 21,000 reps:
- Stance/Load
- Timing
- Tempo
- Tracking
- Approach
- Contact
- Extension/Finish
