Whether you’re ready or not, competitive spring baseball is coming. Being ready depends on the decisions you make now. So, will you be swinging for success?
In order to build your swing for success, there are three things that must happen.
No. 1 – The Assessment
Before you get worn down in the batting cage, you must be assessed to determine your learning style. We break the swing down into six parts, including the stance, load, approach, contact, extension and finish.
No. 2 – Know Your Body
Before you begin to build your swing, you must know which part(s) of your body lack strength. In addition, before an instructor can tell you anything about hitting, it’s vital to be aware of your learning style. We can accurately assess both of these items in our Hitting Combine. Note: Our Hitting Combine is only offered during specific times of the year.
No. 3 – Build Your Body
In order to take good swings, your body must be physically strong. You can take hundreds of swings every day, but if you lack adequate strength in your core, forearms, legs and shoulders, you won’t be successful. I’m fortunate to collaborate with Elite Performance Training, which is located inside of D-BAT Atlanta, the home of Diamond Directors. The Elite Performance trainers effectively build hitters physically, so that we can build their swings.
Now that your body is strong, you can build your swing in our 3K Swing Club. Our 3K classes effectively allow up to eight hitters to train in eight skill-building stations within 60 minutes. Each hitter receives 200-250 reps per class. In just 15 classes, you’ll have 3,000 reps and a positive hitting habit that makes you a dugout favorite.
That great season you had in 2012 was in 2012. Or maybe you’d rather forget your 2012 performance altogether. Whatever the case, the past is the past. Let us help you focus on swinging for success in 2013.
Remember our motto: Good hitters don’t work hard; they work smart.
